Since I’m able to see what words were used in finding my website, I saw that a lot of people come here wanting to know about mental illness.
They then see that I used to have Bipolar and Schizophrenia, but perhaps there isn’t enough information on my website to help them. They see that I wrote a book called “God Can Heal Anything!” but it seems that few people interested in mental illness actually purchase my book. So, I thought to start this page to perhaps give you a few pointers that may help you, your relative or friend who has mental illness. This book was also written to help ministers and medical practitioners better understand mental illness.
I was in mental hospitals at least 5 times and told that I’d have to be on lithium carbonate for the rest of my life. In 1979, I prayed to ask Jesus to come into my life and in 3 years of studying, praying, and amending my lifestyle I was freed from all psychotropic medications. My former counselor told me to cooperate and participate with the Holy Spirit, which I then did.
Since Bipolar is a chemical imbalance on the brain, which is part of our bodies, I understood that this ailment was not just a mental disorder but also physical. Therefore, I needed to also know what was affecting my body and change that as well. I studied nutrition and realized that sugar is detrimental to a person’s health. Also, I read that over 60% of Americans are sick because of being severely dehydrated. Much pure (not tap) water is needed in order to replenish the water that is lost from our bodies each day.
Bipolar affected every part of my life, including all of my relationships with people, my ability to stay employed, my mind, emotions, and spirit as well as my body.
In 1978, when I was first admitted to Napa State Hospital, that diagnosis showed Schizophrenia whereas in 1979 when I was again admitted there, the diagnosis was then manic-depression (which is now known as Bipolar Disorder).

Although people have found me on the Internet and would like my personal counsel for their need, my first suggestion would be for them to get a copy of my book, as there is much counsel in it. The book is my personal testimony of what it was like having had the ailment, what happened, and what it’s like now.
I was also an alcoholic and a drug addict as well as living the usual lifestyle that accompanies that way of living.
