                                                                      The Plan of Salvation

Some are asking, "What must I do to be saved?" That answer is "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ." (See Acts

Many people think that they are already saved because they attend a Christian church, or because they are Americans, or for some other reason. In Romans 10:9-10, we find that if we confess with our mouths (speak out loud) that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts (our innermost beings) that God has raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved.

When Jesus is the Lord of our lives, we will live entirely differently than the world. When we invite Him to take control of the throne of our lives, He will do it. Then, we need to continue surrendering that control to Him.

We became a new creature in Christ, one that never before existed, when we sincerely prayed for Jesus to be Lord; yet, we need to continue in faith, trusting Him daily. Jesus said that those who endure to the end shall be saved. (See Matthew 24:13.)

If you have never before prayed out loud, with sincerity, inviting Jesus to come into your life and to be your Lord and Savior, I invite you to do so now, by praying this:

Lord Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I invite You to come into my life and to be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for dying on the cross in my place. I believe that You were raised from the dead and now sit at the right hand of the Father. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for hearing me and for being my Lord for all eternity. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, or one like it, and you meant it with your whole heart, you are born again. Welcome to the family of God!

The Bible will now begin to make more sense to you than before. A good place to start reading is with the Gospel of John. Reading your Bible and praying daily is very important for your spiritual growth. As a new babe in Christ, there is much to learn, and to also unlearn. This will take time, so please be patient with yourself and with God. It will be important for your Christian growth that you find a good Christian church to attend. If you have not yet found one, please write to me and we can discuss which place is right for you.

I love you. More importantly, God loves you. Please write and let me know of your new commitment to Him.
